Celebrating Tri Kappa Week with Kindness

The state of Indiana observed Tri Kappa Week from February 21st-27th this year.  The Iota Chapter in Valparaiso, Indiana celebrated over a century of community involvement with a Kindness Project. We chose to donate items to a number of local non-profit organizations.

Wag more, Bark less… That’s a philosophy Lakeshore PAWS can agree with! Here’s a bunch of treats, chew toys, and more good stuff for dogs that Tri Kappa will donate today as part of the Tri Kappa Kindness Week

On this snowy day the Tri Kappa Kindness Project continues…. This act of kindness involves $5 and $10 gift cards for the women Dayspring Women’s Center (where their motto of “homeless not helpless” is so true!). In addition, we have gratitude journals and other books that support transformation and positive thinking.

February 25th – SNOW DAY!!
Everything is closed in Valparaiso but the kindness continues… today, in honor of the winter weather, Tri Kappa will donate ice skating at the Valpo Parks Urschel Pavilion to 8 lucky kids at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Porter County. That’s 8 admission tickets and 8 skate rentals!

What better way to end a week of acts of kindness than with a nod toward the love of reading in kids… This stack of early readers and chapter books will find a home at Parkview Elementary. This Tri Kappa Week… with The Kindness Project has warmed our hearts on snowy days.
