Each year, Tri Kappa approaches local businesses to support our event fundraisers. We are incredibly thankful that members of our community see value in supporting the work of Tri Kappa in promoting Culture, Education, and Charity in the Valparaiso area. Tri Kappa’s Iota Chapter does this through service projects like Preschool Vision Screening, regular reading to children at Hilltop Neighborhood House, volunteering for the Day of Caring, Popcorn Panic registration, and community art workshops. Annually, we hold three major fundraisers, Girls Night Out, our Terri Lynn Nut Sale, and the Taste of Valparaiso. Consequently, we are able to offer around a dozen community grants of $3,000 or less to local non-profits and college scholarships to about 18 local high school seniors each year. As we are able, we contribute to more substantial projects like Capital Campaigns or the mural at the Indiana Beverage Activity Center.

Girls Night Out is a relatively new event we began in 2015. This year, we were fortunate to gain the support of Centier Bank as a raffle sponsor for the $1000 cash prize. Our limited raffle offers 300 tickets at $20 each and offers 10 generous prizes from cash to entertainment to shopping, jewelry, or goods and services from local businesses. Several businesses chose to support us as a sponsor or vendor AND donor, making them extra special in our book. If you stop in to visit any of the businesses (or people) below, please thank them for their support of our event. We couldn’t do it without them.
