Tri Kappa loves to give money to deserving students and charitable organizations. However, we have to “bring home the bacon” first. A point of pride is that we always earn what we give the old-fashioned way, by selling. We have three main fundraisers throughout the year; our Nut Sale in early fall, the Taste of Valparaiso in May, and our new Girls Night Out in November. Used Book Sale
2013 Was our sixth and final year hosting the Used Book Sale. It was a wonderful fundraiser and service project with a loyal following of donors and customers, but it no longer fit the needs of our chapter.

Nut Sale
Tri Kappa’s have been selling Terri Lynn nuts for as long as we can remember. We always time our sale so that you can receive your order in time for Thanksgiving baking sprees and Holiday gifts. Girls Night Out
September 21st, 2017, we hosted our third and final Girls Night Out fundraiser at Urschel Laboratories in Chesterton. Doors opened at 5:30 pm for noshing, cocktails and browsing through select boutique vendors like Lemons and Grace Candles and Luketti jewelry. Grimprov from The Murder Mystery Co. began at 7. A great time was had by all, but we evolved the event into Trivia Night so the boys could join in the fun too.

Taste of Valparaiso
Our signature event of the year, the Taste features 30 or more restaurants from in and around Valparaiso, Indiana. Each restaurant brings samples of some of their best eats to share with the 1000 participants who fill the Porter County Expo Center hoping to go home stuffed (in a good way). The evening is enhanced with a Raffle and Silent Auction to supplement ticket sales. 100% of profits are redistributed into the community. Corporate sponsors are welcome and Taste organizers are looking for interested sponsors and restaurants to make the next Taste on May 25, 2017 the best yet. Trivia Night
in 2018, we hosted our first Trivia Night fundraiser at Aberdeen Manor. It has turned out to be a rollicking great time. At this time, our space is limited so that we can make sure everyone enjoys themselves. Once tables go on sale, we recommend reserving yours immediately. Stay tuned for upcoming dates.
